Even so, CERN employees are not immune to stress and its effects, and the COVID-19 pandemic will have a serious impact on people’s mental health. “During the pandemic, we worked closely with managers, who play an important role in the professional well-being of their teams, with whom they are in direct contact,” says Marie-Luce Falipeau. “To continue this mission which is still relevant today, I am happy to announce that the project team will launch the ‘Competence and Caring at Work’ awareness campaign. ‘Caring at Work’ means wanting the best for ourselves and those around us. As a photographer and writer, I know exactly what I like. Whether you use Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn or TikTok, visual posts like photos, videos and graphics get the most engagement.
The good news is that you don’t need to hire a designer or spend hundreds of dollars on software to get great visuals—there are some amazing free graphic design apps you can use to create incredible social media graphics. I’ve been writing about and using these types of tools for almost a decade, so I’m pretty familiar with what’s good. And what not.
Personal Development Plan Examples For Success
All of our best apps roundups are written by people who have spent their careers using, testing, and writing software. We spend dozens of hours researching and testing apps, putting each app to use and evaluating it against the criteria we set for the category. We never pay for placement in our articles from any app or for links to any site – we value that readers trust us to provide genuine ratings of the categories and apps we review. For more details on our process, read our full How We Select Apps to be featured on the blog.
Social media posts have a very short lifespan, so you shouldn’t spend hours creating them. It’s more important to get your content out into the world where people can actually see it than if you pore over every pixel to get things perfect. That’s why a good graphic design app is so important: instead of starting from scratch every time, you have great templates and design resources (such as stock images, icons, shapes and text styles) ready to go. Then, all you have to do is mix and match things with your own brand elements to get something unique and powerful. Repurposing posts you’ve already made is a huge time saver.
And you don’t have to pay huge prices to get incredible results. Free graphic design apps don’t lack quality, but lack extra features like some powerful design features and AI-powered features. I reviewed 40 free graphic design apps and found five great, free resources. Granted, some of these are very limited free plans of premium products, but all of them work to create amazing images for your social media marketing channels. If you’re willing to pay a few dollars a month, I’d flag what you get – some of these options have higher value payment plans.
I’ve relied on Adobe Photoshop for over a decade, and it sets the bar high for paid products. I didn’t expect these free social media post makers to hide it, but they had to provide a great service. Even if something is free, I won’t recommend it if it’s bad.
How To Rank Higher On Google In 2023
I spent considerable time browsing through hundreds of themes to test each app and get a feel for the quality of each one. I created at least two test posts using the templates (with many options, more). I generally focused on each app’s overall ease of use and professional offerings, but I also had some key criteria that each app had to meet to make it to this list:
Another thing: while AI tools like DALL·E 2 and Stable Diffusion are incredibly popular right now and can create impressive images from a simple line of text, they still can’t create the kinds of complex graphics that are part of most brands. Social media strategies. If you want to learn more about using AI-generated images, check out our list of the best AI image generators or all the AI art generators out there. They’re great fun to play with and can be an occasional part of a social media post, but they’re no substitute for any of the apps on this list.
Canva is a powerful, yet easy-to-use, template-based free design app. There are over a million templates, graphics, and photos you can use as part of the free plan (that goes up to several million assets with a Canva Pro subscription).
When you open Canva, you’re presented with dozens of possible templates for everything from posters to Instagram posts. It’s a lot to navigate, but great search is built in. Click the search bar at the top of the screen and look for things like “birthday Instagram stories” to see more specific options. (I found almost 4,000 recommended free templates, although some of them had pro components that cost you $1.)
